Railways has launched free Wi-Fi service at New Delhi Railway station.This service gives free access to Internet for 30 minutes and after that,the person can buy coupons costing Rs 25 for 30 minutes and Rs 35 for 1 hours.
Recently I happened to be at New Delhi Railway station and used the Wi-Fi.This service gives speed of 1 Mbps.I used it on my Moto G smartphone and here are the steps to use access free Wi-Fi at the station :
1) Open your phone's Wi-Fi,then click on 'Railwire' and you would get connected.
2) Now you would get a prompt "Sign in to Wi-Fi network".Click it.
3) It would take you to a page where you would have to enter your mobile number and click on "Register" button.
4) Now you would get Username and Password via SMS.Username would be your mobile number and password would be listed in the SMS as shown on the image.
Note : Mobile number is hidden due to obvious reasons.
5) Then you would have to enter your Username and Password on the page which would have come after registering your mobile number.
6) If you would have done all the steps correctly,then you would be successfully logged in and ready to access free Wi-Fi for 30 minutes.
7) Speed of Wi-Fi is 1 Mbps as can be seen in the screenshot.
If you happen to go at New Delhi Railway station,access the Wi-Fi for free for 30 minutes.
Pro Tip : If you have more than 1 mobile number,repeat the above steps again after 30 minutes and voila,you would have got 30 minutes free again.
